Based in Mackay, Queensland (Australia), Tiana Cherie Earnshaw is a multifaceted pianist, composer, educator, and creative publisher whose work bridges performance, education, and wellbeing. Her musical journey began at the age of eight, when she first sat at the piano — an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for the language of music. Throughout her schooling years, she explored piano, flute, oboe, and percussion before focusing on piano and going on to achieve her Associate in Music (AMus) under the direction of Kerry Harold. She studied a further Bachelor of Music at the University of New England under Professor Jason Stoessel.
Tiana’s career reflects her versatility as a performer, leader, and educator. She has arranged and composed works across a range of styles, conducted ensembles, and led collaborative performances that unite musicians of all ages. Her music career highlights include attending piano masterclasses at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg in 2020, workshops with the Czech Philharmonic in Prague, Neue Lausitzer Philharmonie rehearsals in Görlitz and studying under Dr Kerry Vann in Brisbane throughout 2019.
As Tiana Cherie, she composes original piano music and instrumental works that invite reflection, connection, and calm. Her compositions — often described as cinematic and deeply emotive — are inspired by nature, motherhood, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. Each piece reflects her belief that music can teach, comfort, and communicate beyond words.
As a dedicated music educator, Tiana has spent more than a decade nurturing creativity and confidence in her students. From 2017 to 2023, she founded and directed a thriving music school in Brisbane, growing it to over 140 students and a team of five teachers. Through her teaching, she fosters not only technical excellence but also emotional expression, imagination, and self-belief.
A lifelong learner, Tiana holds a Bachelor of Learning Design, a Diploma of Early Childhood, and is a qualified teacher through CQUniversity. She is also a Nurse holding registration with AHPRA, integrating her understanding of health, wellbeing and human connection into her creative and educational practice.
Tiana curates and produces educational and artistic resources that celebrate the role of music in learning. She has published curriculum materials and piano resources with ReMarkable Music and Wirripang Home of Australian Composers, contributing to Australia’s music education landscape. Her projects and curriculum-aligned teacher guides reflect her vision for accessible, meaningful, and inspiring music education.
Today, Tiana lives in Mackay with her family, and enjoys being a Mum to two young children. She continues to compose, teach, and publish, where her mission is simple yet profound: to inspire, educate, and connect people through the transformative power of music.
